Where can I learn more about childhood vaccinations and Children’s Clinic’s vaccination policy?
Children’s Clinic follows the immunization guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Vaccines help protect individual children and others in the community who may be especially vulnerable. Our providers are also available to answer questions about vaccine safety, timing, side effects, and missed doses.
Please review our Children’s Clinic Vaccine Policy Statement for information about our practice requirements. For additional educational information, read Understanding Childhood Vaccinations: Guidance for Newnan, GA Families.
What are practical ways to support a child with ADHD at home?
Supporting a child with ADHD at home often starts with structure, consistency, and patience. Children with ADHD may benefit from predictable routines, clear instructions, visual reminders, and tasks broken into smaller steps. Parents can also help by creating a quiet homework or focus area, offering short breaks, praising small wins, and using calm, direct communication.
It is also important to remember that ADHD is not caused by laziness or poor parenting. ADHD can affect focus, impulse control, emotional regulation, and follow-through. When strategies at home are not enough, or when behavior begins to interfere with school, relationships, safety, or family life, families should speak with their child’s pediatrician for additional guidance.
For questions about ADHD support, behavior concerns, or your child’s development, contact Children’s Clinic at 770-253-0170 to schedule an appointment.

What is the best way to schedule an appointment with your office?
You can schedule an appointment by calling our office during regular business hours.
Can I meet my pediatrician before my baby is born?
Yes, in fact we strongly encourage parents-to-be to visit our office for a prenatal appointment. This is a great way to get acquainted with our office and our doctors. During this visit, we will answer any questions that you have about our practice or your new child. Visit our expectant parent’s page for more information.
How often should my child see the pediatrician?
Your child should not only see the pediatrician for an illness. It is also important to schedule well-child-care exams regularly, beginning in infancy. Also called well-care visits or checkups, these routine examinations provide the best opportunity for the doctor to observe the progress of your child’s physical and mental growth and development; to counsel and teach parents; to detect problems through screening tests; to provide immunizations, and to get to know one another. Well-care visits are strongly recommended as part of preventive pediatric care.
What if I need a shot record?
If you need a shot record, please call our office. Plan ahead as we often receive a large volume of requests and we may need at least 48 hours to process your request. Also, if your child has received shots at another office, we can only include those shots on their shot record if we have a copy of them.
What to feed a baby during formula shortage?
There are a few things to consider when the baby formula shortage becomes an issue. You’ll want to explore your options and see what’s available before deciding on anything, but here is some information from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services that may help with decision making.
What vaccination schedule do the doctors recommend?
We recommend adhering to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) vaccination schedule. Learn more by visiting the website for the American Academy of Pediatrics. Vaccinations are safe and effective in preventing serious illnesses.
Is there a shortage of baby formula?
The COVID-19 outbreak has caused significant shortages of infant formulas, with current problems being largely due to supply chain issues and recall concerns.
Is your office accepting new patients?
Yes, we always welcome new patients. Contact our office for additional information or request an appointment.
Emergency and After Hours Calls
Please note that at night, on weekends, and holidays, you may still call by using our regular office telephone number. If we are not in office, our answering service will take your information and contact the on call provider. Routine questions, minor problems, billing issues and prescription refills should be deferred until regular office hours so that we may have your child’s medical record available. After hours calls should be reserved for urgent or emergency situations. If your child is extremely ill and you cannot wait for a return call, call 911 and go immediately to the hospital. If you do go to an emergency room or after-hours clinic, you must call our office for a follow up and your insurance company on the next business day to insure proper verification by your insurance company.
